I was working like crazy all day to make sure that I was ready to go by the time Sam dropped by my house. She said to expect her around 5PM, so naturally, I planned for 6-7PM. Wouldn't you know it? She decided to show up on time, haha. I was quite surprised. I didn't even have time to do my laundry, so I'm gonna be a bum and do it here at her house.
The ride up was surprisingly quick. We passed the time by listening to West End musicals. She's so hyped up on painkillers and such for her mouth that I had to drive up to Phoenix. That was alright, though. I didn't mind. Better me behind the wheel than her and her medicine-head.
I'm staying up here until Sunday. Chances are that I'll be taking the bus home. Not looking forward to that... I should probably stop by a bookstore and pick up something to read because the bus rides from here back home are terrible. I remember the last time I took a bus home from Phoenix, I had to get to the bus terminal extremely early and the ride was so long that I read Eyes of the Dragon cover-to-cover in one sitting. Good book, though, and worth noting.
It's gonna be a long weekend. But I'm glad I get to spend some time with my other-other half. The only thing bothering me is that I have a paper on Hinduism due on Sunday that I've yet to even break ground on.
Uh...
Yeah, not gonna bother with it until tomorrow. Too lazy right now. But I'm not tired yet - it's only 10PM! I never even lay down until 5AM. I think I'll entertain myself by watching some shows on Hulu. Sam's been bugging me to watch Glee. Maybe I could start in on that...
And music, your music, it teases at my ear. I turn and it fades away, and you're not here. Let hopes pass, let dreams pass - let them die. Without you, what are they for? I'll always feel no more than halfway real 'til I hear you sing once more.
