Almost there...

Two more days!

I know that I shouldn't even have to ask this question because the answer is painfully obvious, but... why is everyone suddenly copying Lady Gaga? I realize that she didn't coin avant-garde expressionism. Obviously, she wasn't the first person to start wearing fetish footwear and latex. I'm perfectly aware that she didn't invent visually striking music videos. I know all that.

But come on.

Seriously?

Again, the answer to my question is pretty simple. People emulate Lady Gaga because Lady Gaga is a motherfucking superstar. There's no denying that. Anything that she promotes, even if it's total crap (and so far, in my honest opinion, that hasn't happened), is going to fly off the shelves faster than it got there. Albums, singles, merchandise, Polaroid cameras, anything even remotely resembling Alexander McQueen, and disco sticks. You name it, it's gonna sell. So realistically, if another artist channels their inner Gaga, their stuff is gonna sell, too, right?

Maybe. It depends on how subtle said artist is in "emulating" Gaga.

Oh, well. Mockery is the sincerest form of flattery, no? Gaga's in a luxury hotel somewhere, sipping Cristal, and laughing her pretty ass off at all the flattery.

/end rant

Watched the Puppy Bowl yesterday instead of the Super Bowl... Honestly, it was far more entertaining watching a bunch of puppies running around, being cute, than watching grown men try to beat the crap out of each other.

Time for bed. Going to Havasu tomorrow. :)

When you see a girl that's pretty, shake her, shake her, shake that kitty.
