Planning

I was thinking about my life and its direction last night, and honestly, I was getting a little frustrated. I hate the idea of sitting around and doing nothing 24/7 while I wait for my life to change. Admittedly, I have been working on a plan, and it's looking promising. My original plan entailed working at TB part-time, taking transcription courses, working as a transcriptionist through the upcoming move, going to Europe, and going to school for my bachelor's in the spring of 2014 until the end of 2016.

It's a good plan, but unfortunately, it's pushing my plans way back.

So last night, I had a thought. Why not start school earlier? I had considered going to ASU for my bachelor's, but that would entail sitting here in Arizona for another two years. In this teeny weeny little town with no one around to hang out with and nothing to do. And then, huzzah - an epiphany!

ASU has a new online campus. It's incredibly diverse, good quality, and affordable. My new plan is thus: Keep the old plan, but incorporate one academic year of schooling into it from the spring of 2012 until 2013. If I time it right, I'll probably get to keep my Arizona residency tuition. Then I'll take some time off to focus on Europe. After I get back from Europe in the fall of 2013, I'll enroll in a new college for the spring of 2014, and hopefully finish by the fall of 2015.

This plan brings me ahead by one year. Only one year, but that year will make a huge difference. It's one year less that I have to wait to make my big move to live and work in Europe. One year less that I have to twiddle my thumbs and hope that things will be better.

I've decided.

In 2016, I'll be living and working in Europe.
