My new hide plushie came in the mail today. :)
That's the Ever Free DX version. So now, I have a grand total of four hide plushies.
I'm very happy with them. Hopefully, I can bring the number up to five by the end of this month (I have my eye on a Beauty & Stupid version from a seller on eBay...)
On other news, I realized tonight that I'm not so bad in the kitchen. I've always considered myself a mediocre cook, but tonight, I made baked chicken, cheesy mashed potatoes, and steamed peas, and I didn't screw any of it up. It sounds like a minor accomplishment, but not to me. It was my little victory for the day, which actually came at a great time considering how frustrated I've been.
Nothing's gone wrong, exactly, but I'm playing a never-ending game of phone tag with my financial aid counselor and it's driving me crazy. Every time I call her, I get her voicemail, so I leave a message asking her to call me back and that when she calls, to please call after 12PM. I stay up until 5AM, so I sleep until 11AM or so, and I usually don't hear my phone ringing when I'm asleep (either that or I just ignore it). Unfortunately, she either didn't hear or didn't listen to that part of the voicemail and as a result, we have fallen into a very annoying routine:
She calls at 7-8AM, I sleep through the call, and I wake up to a voicemail asking me to call her back. I call back, get her voicemail, and leave a message asking her to call me back when she can but after 12PM. So far, for exactly one week without fail, we've been playing phone tag and, honestly, it's getting really old very quickly. Yeah, not amused. :| Especially since I really need to talk to her to make sure my financial aid comes through...
But the week hasn't been all bad. :) I'm finally getting over my cold, which is awesome. I got my plushie, which is also awesome. And Charles booked his flight to Vegas for our vacation in May, which is also awesome. Oh, right, and I made dinner without burning anything. That was epic win.
I'm going to Yuma tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to it since it's that time of year again - spring clothes shopping.
