It was nice getting out of the house today. Usually, the farthest I get these days is the grocery store, so going to Yuma with Mom today was pretty fun, even if we mostly shopped for household stuff (namely Palmolive. Yay, dish soap~).
I decided against going clothes shopping for the day, if only because I really want to go to Havasu for that (the stores I really like are there). Besides, I ended up spending what I would have spent on clothes on books. Yeah, I kind of knew I would... My mom up and left me alone in Barnes & Noble and the inevitable happened. Most of what I picked up there were (surprise, surprise) manga.
I also picked up Animal Crossing: City Folk while I was in Target.
So, after dinner, we came back home. It was a pretty low-key day, but still a good one. I like going out of town when I can. And now I get to do homework. I guess it's not so bad, it's only a 1,050-word assignment on intercultural differences and barriers in the media. To complete the assignment, I have to watch a movie in which intercultural differences and barriers exist and then write my paper on that. In essence, all I have to do is watch a movie... I can live with that.
Now to pick a movie...
I know I should buckle down and get at least the skeleton of the assignment done before I go to bed, but I see the Wii staring at me from across the living room and I just know that I'm going to get distracted in a few minutes.
