My life is boring right now - but I can still blog about it.

We had a small earthquake yesterday. It's not exactly news anymore, but it was to the people here. We never get earthquakes - come to think of it, we never really get any natural disasters here. We're pretty lucky in that sense; the most we ever get are high winds and the occasional freak rainstorm. The strangest weather I've seen in the desert southwest was a crazy sweep of fog in Havasu during the spring, which wasn't so bad, all considered.

Tickets for the Lady Gaga concert in Phoenix finally went on sale this morning, so I picked up two for me and Samantha. My wallet hurts a little, but it'll be worth it. I used to take Sam to tons of concerts, but since she moved to Phoenix and settled down with her fiance, our vacation time together has understandably dwindled down to almost nothing. I can't blame her for buckling down and making her niche; in fact, I'm very happy for her. It's just difficult thinking about how rarely we get to see each other now that she's making a life for herself out there while I'm planning mine over here. But it's alright. As long as I can call her every night and visit her a few times every month,  I'm happy. :)

See, look how happy I am now that I talked to her.

I'm still having trouble with the financial aid office. They seem to like calling me extremely early in the morning when I'm still asleep and no one answers when I call them back. It's getting on my nerves, considering the fact that I really need the funds for my second academic year to come through. I don't want to find out that I didn't get a hold of them soon enough and then miss the next block of classes. :( I will not have graduation put off because people at the financial aid office didn't want to pick up the phone.

On a lighter note, Kage is getting better. The poor puppy's been so depressed these past few days, but he finally started chewing stuff again, so I'm taking that as a good sign. Although, since he's chewing stuff again, I'm going to have to keep a close eye on my sneakers, since he tends to play with those when he's bored with my slippers...

And on a random closing note, the sheet music to Amethyst is driving me crazy...

I love the song itself, but all the codas and dal segnos make three pages of music unnecessarily complicated to navigate. At least to me and my mediocre eyesight.
